Speeches
Now I don't know who should say speeches at the wedding. We don't even know forsure if we are going to have groomsmen and bridesmaids. So yeah.. I can't even think of pro's and cons to having bridesmaids.. can anyone give me some ideas on why or why I shouldn't have a wedding party.. and If I don't have a wedding party who should I ask to do speeches.. I already asked Keira. and I think I"ll ask my dad. just because he's funny. but I don't know. Should we ask someone from Drew family to speak? I"m scared that they will tell everyone how the hate me and how we are to young to be married and blah blah blah. I think it would be nice if a couple of drews guests speak .. but very hesitant of his family speaking.
so yeah.. HEEEEELLP

Seems like your wedding plans are getting gradually more traditional (e.g. wedding party, speeches).
Traditionally, the father of the bride, the best man and maybe the maid of honour give a speech. I originally tried just putting the word out that we wanted people to speak, but got no response. So then I assigned the wedding party members to either do a speech or something else that they choose.
Wedding party pros: giving credit to the friends who are closest to you or who helped you the most, getting more help, having your beloveds with you at the altar, doesn't take any extra effort, if you're shy you can have them around you on the walk up the altar, you need two folks to sign your form anyway, you can make them give speeches (haha) and feel more comfortable asking them to do things.
Cons:buy them a gift, maybe not as helpful or supportive as you had hoped.
There's my two bits.
PS as far as mean speeches, the worst that will happen is insinuating little comments, which you probably already get (we sure do)
PS What do you want me to say? Ahh, I don't know anybody there, ahh, I'm nervous
